Chinese Lifters Take Men's 69kg Gold, Silver at Weightlifting Worlds

Chinese strongmen Zhang Guozheng and Chen Chufu took the gold and silver medals of the men's 69kg snatch at the weightlifting world championships in WARSAW on Thursday.

Chinese strongmen Zhang Guozheng and Chen Chufu took the gold and silver medals of the men's 69kg snatch at the weightlifting world championships in WARSAW on Thursday.

Chen, 22, snatched 150kg, 155kg and 157.5kg in his first, second and third attempt to claim the title.

Zhang, 28, snatched 150kg, 155kg in his first and second attempt but failed to overcome 157.5kg in the third attempt.

Zhang was the champion of the total at the Busan Asian Games.

Youssef Sbai from Tunisia came third with 152.5kg and bodyweight advantage.

Turan Mirzoyev of Azebaijian, who also lifted 152.5kg, is 0.5kgs heavier than Sbai.
