Xinjiang University Honors Chinese-American Physicist

Nobel Laureate S.C.C. Ting, a noted Chinese-American physicist, Monday was appointed honorary professor of Xinjiang University in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Xinjiang University Honors Chinese-American Physicist
Nobel Laureate S.C.C. Ting, a noted Chinese-American physicist, Monday was appointed honorary professor of Xinjiang University in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Ting gave a one-hour lecture to teachers and students from the university, in which he outlined the world's most advanced scientific research. He also answered questions from students and teachers.

S.C.C.Ting was born in 1936 in the United States, and won the 1976 Nobel Prize in physics.
