Beijing Friendship Hospital Becomes Largest Kidney Transplant Center in China

A kidney transplanting is under way in the Friendship Hospital in Beijing June 19, 2002. The hospital has turned out to be the largest kidney transplant center in China since it was set up 50 years ago. It has successfully transplanted more than 2,600 kidneys over the past 30 years since it first carried out a kidney transplant in cooperation with the Hospital Affiliated to the Guangzhou Zhongshan Hospital in 1972. China, US Sign License Agreement on Coal Liquefaction Plant

China's largest coal company, Shenhua Group Corporation, signed a license agreement Tuesday in Washington with the US Hydrocarbon Technologies, Inc. for a direct coal liquefaction plant to be constructed in China.
