Chinese President Jiang Zemin met in Beijing on Wednesday with Chairman and CEO of the Exxon-Mobil Corp. of the United States L. R. Raymond and his party.

Chinese President Jiang Zemin met in Beijing on Wednesday with Chairman and CEO of the Exxon-Mobil Corp. of the United States L. R. Raymond and his party.

Jiang spoke positively of the US company's cooperation with China and said he hoped that it would widen exchanges and cooperation with Chinese energy enterprises.

Raymond mentioned China's achievements in economic development,in the energy field in particular, and expressed his company's desire to further increase investment and cooperation in China.
