Cote d'Ivoire President Continues Visit in East China

Cote d'Ivoire President Laurent Gbagbo left Hefei Saturday afternoon for Shanghai upon conclusion of his two-day visit in east China's Anhui Province.

Cote d'Ivoire President Laurent Gbagbo left Hefei Saturday afternoon for Shanghai upon conclusion of his two-day visit in east China's Anhui Province.

In Anhui, Gbagbo paid visits to an agricultural equipment manufacturer, a water-saving irrigation field and a temple in memory of Bao Zheng, a renowned ancient Chinese official.

On Friday, Xu Zhonglin, governor of Anhui province, briefed the guest on the economic and social development of the province.

Xu said Gbagbo's visit would help deepen the friendship between the people of Anhui province and the people of Cote d'Ivoire, and promote economic cooperation.

Gbagbo said the water-saving irrigation, agricultural machinery and food processing industry in Anhui impressed him greatly, and he hoped to have more exchanges and communication with Anhui in the future.
