Macedonian President Visits Xi'an

Cheng Andong, governor of northwest China's Shaanxi Province met in Xi'an on Friday with visiting Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski and his party.

Cheng Andong, governor of northwest China's Shaanxi Province met in Xi'an on Friday with visiting Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski and his party.

In the meeting, Cheng described Xi'an as a city embracing both splendid ancient culture and modern science, technology and education.

He briefed the guests on the province's development under the western development strategy, voicing his hopes for further cooperation with Macedonia in the areas of trade, economy and culture.

Trajkovski said China's long history contributed greatly to the development of the world's civilization, and he believed his visit would help strengthen the connection between Macedonia and Shaanxi province in trade and economy.

Trajkovski arrived in Xi'an from Shanghai on Friday morning.
