Chinese Vice-President Visits Pinang
Chinese Vice-President Hu Jintao arrived in Pinang, capital of the northwestern state of Pinang, from Kuala Lumpur on Thursday morning to continue his three-day official visit to Malaysia.

Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Leo Michael Toyad went to see the vice president off at the airport when Hu and his entourage were heading for Pinang.
After arriving in Pinang, Hu paid a visit to the State's Teluk Bahang Dam, a project developed by the China International Water and Electric Corporation.
In the afternoon, the Chinese vice president met with the Yang d-Pertuan (Ruler) of Pinang State Abdul Rahman Abbas.
During the meeting, Hu spoke highly of the important role Pinang State played in enhancing friendly cooperation between the two countries, and said that the two sides should make more efforts in finding new fields and ways of expanding bilateral cooperation.
Malaysia is the first leg of Hu's three-nation trip, which will also take him to Singapore and the United States.
