ADB to Render Large Loan to Cambodia
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will give Cambodia 105 million U.S. dollars in loan this year, the National Television Station of Kampuchea(TVK) broadcasted Tuesday night.

This commitment was made on Monday afternoon when Minister of Finance Keat Chhon met with Brenderidlink, executive officer of ADB in charge of assistance projects.
Of the ADB loan, 75 million dollars will be appropriated for development projects including health, environmental protection in Tonle Sap Lake, repair of road from Poipet to Siemreap, and the remaining 30 million dollars will be used in projects in developing Mekong River area.
During the period between 2002 and 2005, ADB will provide Cambodia about 70 million dollars in loan each year to assist Cambodia in its economic construction.
