Chinese State Councilor, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Hold Talks

Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko held talks Friday in Beijing, discussing preparatory work for a regular meeting of the Chinese premier and the Russian prime minister.

Chinese State Councilor Wu Yi and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko held talks Friday in Beijing, discussing preparatory work for a regular meeting of the Chinese premier and the Russian prime minister.

Wu and Khristenko are respectively the Chinese and Russian chairpersons of the Joint Commission for the Regular Meetings of Heads of Government of China and Russia.

The two sides made positive comments on the progress in economic cooperation and trade between China and Russia, and reviewed results achieved according to agreements made during the sixth regular meeting of the Chinese premier and Russian prime ministers.

Wu and Khristenko also discussed priorities in the work to be done ahead of the seventh meeting.

Khristenko began his working visit to Beijing on Friday at the invitation of the Chinese government.
