Outstanding Chinese Vietnamese Commended in Ho Chi Minh City
Forty-five outstanding young Chinese Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City were commended for their great contributions to the city's development at a meeting held in the city on Tuesday.
Forty-five outstanding young Chinese Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City were commended for their great contributions to the city's development at a meeting held in the city on Tuesday.
The meeting was jointly organized by the Vietnam Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Board of Affairs on Chinese Vietnamese, according to a report of Vietnam's official news agency VNA on Tuesday.
By implementing the Vietnamese Government's policies in flexible ways, the young Chinese Vietnamese have been able to makeoutstanding achievements in various socio-economic domains.
Prominent among them were Ly Duc, four-time Asian Body BuildingChampion; Khuc Lieu Chau, Southeast Asian Games Champion; singer Luong Chi Cuong, first prize winner of the national television singing contest; Thai Dien Tuan, a successful businessman who ownsThai Tuan Textile Company; and a young member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Chau Kien Quang.
There are about 500,000 Chinese Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City,which is the Vietnam's biggest economic hub.
