Around 25,000 people in several German cities on Saturday took to the streets to protest against Israel's military action in Palestinian areas.
According German press reports, 10,000 paraded through the downtown area in Berlin, demanding the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Palestinian cities and villages and the implementationof related U.N. resolutions.
About 7,000 people demonstrated in Frankfurt, 5,000 in Duesseldorf, 2,000 in Mannheim while rallies of smaller size were also reported in other cities in western Germany.
The demonstrations, sponsored by an alliance of 40 organizations, called for "a stop to genocide in Palestine" and human rights for Palestinians.
