PLA Chief of General Staff Meets Italian Guests
The Chinese government and armed forces attach great importance to developing friendly cooperative relations with Italy, said Fu Quanyou, chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Monday.
The Chinese government and armed forces attach great importance to developing friendly cooperative relations with Italy, said Fu Quanyou, chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Monday.
Fu, also a member of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks at a meeting with Marcello De Donno, Italy's chief of the Naval Staff, and his party.
Fu said Sino-Italian cooperative relations had progressed well in recent years, adding that De Donno's visit would help increase understanding and trust and further promote friendly cooperative ties between the two armed forces, especially the two navies.
Fu also briefed the guests on China's domestic situation and armed forces, as well as the Chinese government's stance on the Taiwan issue.
De Donno said China is a peace-loving country to which Italy attached great importance on deepening bilateral exchanges. He expressed his hope to further strengthen friendly cooperation between the two armed forces.
