Floating Dusts Envelop Northeast Province
People in Changchun city, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, woke up Sunday morning to find the city enveloped in floating dusts. Actually, nearly all Jilin Province has come under their patronage this morning.

Yang Zhidong, a weather man with Jilin Meteorological Observatory, said this is the most serious dusty weather the province ever encountered in recent years, with visibility falling to around one kilometer. For a weak wind, it still cannot be called a sandstorm.

A Jilin civil aviation official said the dusts have halted all inbound and outbound flights. Road traffic authorities said expressway traffic is only slightly affected, but said they have cautioned drivers to remain alert.

By 11:00 am, the dusts are still gathering strength. Doctors advised people to stay at home and guard against dust-triggered diseases.
