Visiting Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker Sunday left Xi'ning for Shanghai, following his two-day visit in northwest China's Qinghai Province.
On April 6, Zhao Leji, governor of Qinghai, met with Juncker and briefed him on the achievements Qinghai has made since China adopted the strategy of developing its western part.
Zhao also welcomed enterprises of Luxembourg to join in the develop-the-west effort.
Juncker spoke highly of China's policy of developing its west, saying this is not only conducive to a balanced development of China, and also beneficial to its neighboring countries, Asia and even the world at large.
Also the same day, the prime minister visited the Huangzhong Disease Sanitary Center and some places of interests in Qinghai.
