S. Korean Presidential Envoy Arrives in DPRK

South Korea's presidential envoyarrived here on Wednesday accompanied by his aides, with the mission of reviving the stalled inter-Korea ties.

South Korea's presidential envoyarrived here on Wednesday accompanied by his aides, with the mission of reviving the stalled inter-Korea ties.

The envoy, Lim Dong-Won, was greeted at Sunan Airport outside the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) byKim Wan-Su, vice-chairman of the Korean Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, the DPRK's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

Lim will hold the first round of talks with DPRK officials Wednesday afternoon to discuss the agenda.

Meanwhile, the South Korean media reported that during Lim's visit in Pyongyang, he would hand over to DPRK leader Kim Jong-Il a letter from South Korean President Kim Dae-Jung and hold discussions with DPRK officials on peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, the resumption of the inter-Korea dialogue and reactivating of accords the two sides had previously concluded.
