Premier Zhu Meets Participants at International Financial Seminar

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met in Beijing Friday with prominent economists and business leaders at an international financial seminar on "economic globalization and the future of banking ".

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met in Beijing Friday with prominent economists and business leaders at an international financial seminar on "economic globalization and the future of banking ".

Zhu listened to the opinions of the participants including Robert A. Mundell, Nobel Prize laureate for economic sciences, and discussed with them issues of common concern such as the furthering of Sino-foreign cooperation in the financial sector and the world economic and financial situation.

The seminar, sponsored by the Bank of China, attracted about 50 well-known professionals from throughout the financial world.
