Students Can Go Abroad with Private Passport Feb. 1st on
As from February 1st on, full-time students at various schools can go abroad with private passports for participating in short-time governmental exchanges, international conferences, cooperative researches, visits and study tours, training and international contests and other exchange activities.

As China is expanding its exchanges with international community, said a person in Ministry of Education, more and more students on campus would like to go abroad for taking part in activities of international exchanges. This will play a proactive role for China to foster talents and enhance China's reputation in educational field.
In order to meet new trends after China's reform and opening up, also for further promoting educational exchanges with other countries, a streamline administration system must be implemented.
In the meanwhile, for the ongoing reform on citizens' entry and exit and China's gradual loosening on the policy of passport control, the three ministries have decided to take the measure.
Students holding private passports can apply to the relevant foreign embassies or consulates in China for visas by themselves or by their schools.
