An Iranian passenger plane on an domestic flight crashed Tuesday near the southwestern Iranian city of Khorammabad, state media reported.

An Iranian passenger plane on an domestic flight crashed Tuesday near the southwestern Iranian city of Khorammabad, state media reported.

There are 105 passengers on board, the official IRNA news agency cited informed source as saying.

An earlier report said that there are 160 people on board.

The plane, a Russian-made Tupolov-156, left Tehran at 07:30 local time (0400 GMT) while heading for Khoramabad city.

So far, there are no reports on the number of casualties and the cause of the crash.
