A Combi, a kind of small bus in Mexico, runs through a winding and narrow street in Taxco Friday, February 1, 2002. Because of its small size and strong power, this kind of bus wins overwhelming position in public transportation in Mexico, which features mountainous cities and narrow streets. Although German Volkswagenwerk auto manufacturer decided to stop the production of this small-sized bus in 2002 after making a yield of more than 300,000 since 1971.

British Museum Exhibits Modern Chinese Calligraphy

Had I been born Chinese, I would have been a calligrapher, not a painter," Picasso once said. The attraction to the art that so fascinated the cubist is clearly visible in an exhibition called "Brushes with Surprise: The Art of Calligraphy in Modern China," which opened at the British Museum in London yesterday. The exhibit will last until May 19.
