Three more foreigners working incentral China's Hubei Province were granted Chinese permanent resident status Wednesday.
The three foreign citizens, from the United States, Germany andSingapore respectively, got the Chinese "green card" for their outstanding service for the province.
Pete Seitz, the American, began to work with a Hubei oil drilling and exploitation equipment company in 1992 and his efforts have helped the company to make profit for years running.
Last year the company paid 7.99 million yuan in taxes, and Seitz was given the "Friendship Award" by the Chinese government for his contribution to the local economy.
China has granted more foreigners permanent resident status in recent years as it reforms its exit and entry administration system in accordance with international practices.
In Hubei alone, 15 foreigners have been given the Chinese "green card."
