An Innovation Expo, with a theme on "Today's Technology Tomorrow's World" opened at the
Hong Kong
Convention and Exhibition Center Thursday.
The five-day event was organized by the Innovation and Technology Commission to showcase Hong Kong's achievements in innovation and technology and to enhance public awareness on theirimportance in the upgrading of the quality of life.
Highlights of the exhibition are three thematic pavilions entitled "ecLiving," "Interactive World" and "Techno Fountain."
The "ecLiving" pavilion offers visitors a glimpse of a smart home, featuring a series of intelligent appliances and gadgets that add convenience to everyday life, while the "Interactive World" features an information technology global village displaying interactive devices and applications, and showcasing the latest telecommunications and multi-media entertainment.
New technologies, as well as the latest development in biotechnology, nanotechnology, high precision manufacturing and electronics, are featured in the "Techno Fountain."
