China Guangdong Commodities Fair Kicked off in Cambodia
The China Guangdong Commodities Fair, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Province Sub-Council, was opened Thursday in Phnom Penh. The exhibition is scheduled to be held for four days and to be ended on November 18.
Khek Ravy, secretary of state for commerce, said at the opening ceremony that Guangdong province has made major achievements in its economic construction since the implementation of the policy of "open-door and reform by China," adding that the government of Cambodia would welcome enterprises of Guangdong province to do business and invest in Cambodia.
A total of 42 companies, mainly from Guangdong province of China, displayed their exhibits at the fair. Among them are some big companies: Guangdong Light Machinery Group Ltd.; IKE Electronic Ltd. of Foshan; Guangdong Machinery Import & Export Co.Ltd; and Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Import & Export Corporation.
The Chinese companies have brought about many kinds of goods on the display. They are electronic products involving refrigerators, freezers, color television sets; textiles, medicines including Chinese herbes and Chinese patent medicines; sewing machines; motorcycles and bicycles; ceramics and food products.
The exhibition is scheduled to be held for four days and to be ended on November 18.
