Chinese, French Finance Ministers Hold Talks

Chinese Minister of Finance Xiang Huaicheng held talks with French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry Laurent Fabius in Beijing Thursday.

Chinese Minister of Finance Xiang Huaicheng held talks with French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry Laurent Fabius in Beijing Thursday.

The two exchanged views on financial links and fiscal cooperation between China and France, international and domestic economic situations and reform of the international financial framework. They reached common ground on a wide range of issues.

Both agreed that the strengthening of bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the fiscal and financial fields is beneficial to the balanced development of the multipolarization of the global economy. They also agreed the two economies are highly complementary to each other and have good prospects in cooperation.

After the talks, the two ministers signed an agreement on a French government loan to China.
