China will hold an international forum in mid-December to promote worldwide exchanges between small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).

China will hold an international forum in mid-December to promote worldwide exchanges between small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).

China SME Business Forum 2001 will run from December 16 to 18, according to the organizer, China Center for Business Cooperation and Coordination of the State Economic and Trade Commission (SETC).

SETC said Thursday that some 500 delegates from domestic and foreign SMEs, together with scholars and officials from the State Council Development Research Center, the SETC, the State Development Planning Commission, will be present at the forum.

Participants will discuss topics concerning SMEs, including their information construction, financing and their relationship with the WTO and the 2008 Olympic Games.

The forum will also provide a platform for the SMEs to display their products and to conduct project cooperation.
