"Walking for Friendship" - a month-long hike organized by Lord Bates and Mrs. Li Xuelin, was launched on August 19 at Zhejiang University, marking the beginning of a 500-kilometer walk from Hangzhou to Wenzhou for the married couple.

A total of 84 landmark buildings across China were lit up with red on Friday night as People’s Daily Online held a gorgeous lighting show in 48 cities of 26 provinces. People’s Daily Online designed the large-scale light show, themed “Confess My Love to China” as a gift for the fast approaching 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Since graduating from university in 1995, Li Jianhua has devoted himself to airport construction. Now at 49, he is the deputy director and project manager of the Beijing Daxing International Airport construction project under Beijing Urban Construction Group.
