For years, the high-tech demonstration project listed in the NDRC and the small and middle technological enterprise technology innovation projects listed in the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Xi'an High-tech Zone took the leading pace among national high-tech zones. The national intellectual property right pilot zone and national standardized demonstration zone construction also obtain new progress. By constructing technological innovation service system, professional services are provided for management consultancy, commercialization of research findings, technical contract affirmation, technological project planning, project packaging and financing, legal consultancy, intellectual property right protection, training and international communication, and market development of SMEs. The trade volume of technological achievements completed in 2012 was RMB1.702 billion. A number of world class key industrial projects such as China's SP30 super stored program control exchange in China, SMD PZT ceramic transformer, magneto-optical current transducer, digital virtual studio, mobile communication base station, grin-lens, NM targeting preparation technology, national WLAN standard, and three world wireless communication standards were produced here. The Xi'an High-tech Zone has been one of the national high-tech zones with the strongest scientific and technological innovation capacity and most complete technological innovation service system, and has been affirmed as the first national high-tech industrial standardization demonstration zone.

For years, the Xi'an High-tech Zone greatly develops the high-tech industry, resulting in four leading industries such as electronic information, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, and modern service industry and eight industrial clusters such as communication, photovoltaic and semiconductor lighting, electric equipment and energy technology, electronic component, automobile, software and service outsourcing, biopharmacy, and creative service industry. The Xi'an High-tech Zone is regarded as the national communication high-tech industrialization base, the national biomedicine torch featured industrial base, and the high-tech product export innovation base in succession. In 2012, the high-tech zone was licensed as national-level cultural and technological combination demonstration base, E-commerce demonstration base, export of technology innovation base, and national famous brand demonstration zone. The Xi'an High-tech Zone was awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology as the Advanced Collective of 20-year National High-tech Industrial Development Zone Construction and won more than 60 awards and prizes including Shaanxi Province Science and Technology First Prize.
