Vice President Ge Junjie meets with Irish Deputy Prime Minister

Vice President Ge Junjie meets with the visiting delegation led by Irish Deputy Prime Minister Eamon Gilmore, Aug. 2, 2013.

Eamon Gilmore, Deputy Prime Minister a nd Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, and Mr. Declan Kelleher, Irish Ambassador to China, as accompanied by officials from Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, Food Safety Authority of Ireland and Consulate General of Ireland in Shanghai, as well as heads from Glanbia Plc and Tact-Sane Inc. <1>, paid a visit to Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Tangjiu (Group) Co., Ltd. (SSCW for short) on August 2. Mr. Ge Junjie, Vice President of Bright Food Group and Chairman of SSCW met with the visiting delegation. Also in attendance of the meeting were Mr. Zhang Chongjian, Assistant to Chairman of Bright Food Group, Mr. Cui Zhijun, President of SSCW, Mr. Yang Xiaoguang, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads from Foreign Affair Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.

In virtue of their globalization strategies and active efforts in tapping global market during recent years, Bright Food Group and SSCW have established favorable images in both global community and diary sector. The visit led by Deputy Prime Minister Eamon Gilmore not only marked the firm support from Irish government to Sino-Irish trade cooperation, but laid down a sound foundation for the all-around cooperation between Irish food sector and Bright Food Group and SSCW.

During the meeting, Ge introduced the corporation profile, main business performance and development blueprint and vision of Bright Food Group to the visiting guests. Eamon Gilmore also briefed the economic development of Ireland, agricultural and diary sectors in particular, to the host party. An in-depth communication was conducted by both parties on the cooperative opportunities between the Group and Irish enterprises in agriculture and other fronts, and on the interactive efforts in introducing Irish food brands and manufacturers into China's market. Both parties fully expressed their goodwill in enhancing bilateral communication and collaboration, deepening the cooperation of the Chinese and Irish enterprises, tapping global cooperation opportunities, so as to push ahead the win-win development of Irish enterprises and the big domestic dairy players Bright Food Group and SSCW.
