Violist David Aaron plays “Macdonald” Viola at Sotheby Auction House in Paris, France on April 15, 2014. The viola is created by greatest Italian luthier Antonio Stradivari in 1719, during his golden period (1700-1720). And this 300-year-old Macdonald Viola will be offered to bid by Sotheby and is expected to sell at 45 million U.S. dollars, becoming the most expensive musical instrument in the world.
