Creative Industry:

A total of 15 creative industry clusters have formed along Tangyan Road, including "Yizhiyuan." Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio Western Animation Creative Industry Park settled in the zone after signing the contract. The Xi'an High-tech Zone Creative Industry Park was officially approved to be the member of national cartoon game industry revitalization base association. Xi'an National-level Digital Publishing Base declaration and construction planning work was launched comprehensively. Modern service industries such as creative industry, headquarters economy, and financial services are experiencing fast development. In 2012, the operation revenue of the service industry was RMB244.428 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 27.35%. The service industry accounted for 35.89% of economic aggregate.

In 2012, the High-tech Zone achieved a new breakthrough in structure adjustment and model transformation, and set up a modern industry system featuring independent innovation and strong endogenous motive power. In the whole year, registered enterprises' operation revenue reached RMB681 billion, gross industry output value reached RMB446.2 billion, and general budgetary revenue of local finance reached RMB5.77 billion. The fast growth rate of over 30% was maintained. Especially, in order to actively overcome the severe economic situation, a series of effective measures were put in place, which promoted above-scale gross industry output value to exceed RMB70 billion. The growth rate of above-scale industrial added value reached 17.2%. The total amount of foreign trade reached USD8.9 billion, accounting for more than 60% of the whole province. The High-tech Zone played a leading role in building Xi'an into an international metropolis and Shaanxi Province into a powerful province in western China. In 2012, enterprises in the High-tech Zone grew up constantly. One enterprise realized over RMB100 billion in operation revenues; 14 enterprises realized over RMB10 billion in operating revenues each; 24 enterprises realized over RMB5 billion in operating revenues each; 79 enterprises realized over RMB1 billion in operating revenues each; 303 enterprises realized over RMB100 million in operating revenues each. All of these represented the strong vitality with which the Zone-cultivated high-tech enterprises have been growing quickly.
