Location of the Xi'an High-tech Zone Relative to the Entire Urban Area

Located in the famous Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Zone in Xi'an southern suburbs, the Xi’an High-tech Zone has a planning area of 107 km2. Additional 200 km2 is expanded and controlled. Now, the supporting area of 45 km2 is already developed. The Xi’an High-tech Zone is 7 km from the downtown, 11 km from the railway station, and 35 km from the airport.

Green Park

As it constantly speeds up the construction and development of the zone, the Xi'an High-tech Zone makes efforts to create a beautiful, comfortable, and more humanized environment based on the concepts, "Environment is the first resource," "Environment is the competiveness," and "Environment is the productivity," all the time.

The Xi'an High-tech Zone is located in the Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Zone of Xi'an, near the new university town of 10 km2 in the east, adjacent to the Caotang Ecotourism Area of 20 km2 in the west, and 8 km away from Qinling Mountains Northern Foot Natural Scenic Spot of luxuriant vegetation. There are Tang City Wall Site Park (4.3 km long and 115 m wide), Xifeng Road Greenbelt, and 6 big thematic parks including: New Century Park (120 mu), Yongyang Park (260 mu), Sports Park of sports theme, and Muta Temple Park (as famous as Big Wild Goose Pagoda).

The Xi'an High-tech Zone comprehensively carried out projects such as "Blue Sky Project," "Image Project," "Quietness Project," "Vertical Beautification," "Colorful Brightening," and "Vertical Greening" in line with the requirements of national environmental protection model city. With a greatly improved environment, the zone took the lead in passing the national ISO14000 environmental protection demonstration zone appraisal.

In 2012, the greening construction of 740,000 m2 was completed. The greening area of the whole zone reached 7.382 million m2, with greening coverage of over 41% and per capital greening area of 16 m2. The environmental appraisal execution rate, environmental "three same time" execution rate, and industrial sewage emission target rate of new projects reached 100%. Automatic environmental monitoring stations in the zone forecast the air and noise indexes every hour and every day to provide scientific and effective evidence for the constant improving of environmental system.
