Fear of natural birth

Li Bin, 31, who gave birth to her daughter six years ago, told Metropolitan that she decided to have a caesarean section when she was pregnant, claiming she believed it was safer.

When pressed, she admitted that her doctor advised against it, and she bribed him to perform the caesarean through an intermediary.

"It's hard to predict what will happen in natural birth, especially how long it is going take for the baby to be born. This makes me feel frightened. But if I choose a caesarean section, the whole procedure will be finished within 30 minutes," said Li.

Li gave birth to a daughter weighing 3.7 kilograms. Three days after the birth, Li got out of bed.

"The incision for the C-section is not a problem now. There were no stitches to remove, and it is hard to notice. And my figure recovered very well after the operation," said Li.
