Question 4: when did the preparation for the space lesson begin?
Jin Sheng said, the preparation for the space teaching plan actually began a year ago. It was originally intended to be carried out on the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft. However because of the short fly time of Shenzhou-9 in space, the space teaching plan was finally realized on Shenzhou-10. From last September, the space lesson teaching plan group began to ask for opinions about the experiments to be done in Tiangong-1.
Question 5: why chose these five experiments?
Di said that experts of the lesson preparation group had discussed the issue quite for a while. Firstly they collected children's questions and finally fixed five experiments which were easy to demonstrate in space with very obvious effect. The choice mainly took four aspects into consideration, including science popularization, visibility, educational meaning and practicability. Finally demonstration of mechanics principles and liquid surface tension in weightless environment was selected.
Question 6: how did the astronauts prepare for lessons?
One of the two physics teachers in the "ground class" in the high school affiliated to Renmin University. Shi Yi, a teacher from 101 Beijing Middle School introduced the space teaching preparation process. Shi Yi said she received the task before the Spring Festival and then worked with the astronauts for a period of time. She had introduced to the astronauts the knowledge of the physics for primary and secondary school students, at which stage these knowledge of the weightlessness, overweight, gravitation would be introduced, and also how she teaches the knowledge with some simple experiments. The astronauts also paid attention then.
