Xu Liang was born in Jixi, Heilongjiang province in 1989.

A medical mishap caused a loss of hearing when he was two.

Xu went to a special school where painting was his favorite subject and he studied Chinese traditional painting. He also became interested in tattoos. He opened his own tattooing store in 2008 and business has been brisk.
