Liu Yingbin is an editor in a publishing firm in Beijing. His parents were soldiers, so they hoped he would be a soldier too. But he didn't comply with his portents' will; he chose a college in Beijing when he graduated from high school nine year ago.

"I love rock music and I thought I can play rock only in Beijing, so I came here for future study no matter in which college." Ren insisted to leave his hometown to chase his music dream.

During university study, Ren and three friends formed a rock band " Never happened" in which he was the lead singer. "We prefer simple music. No publicity stunt, no show off, and the best play is to make connection with spectators."

However, Ren found an editor's job after graduation. "I love my job; my work doesn't conflict with my rock career. Editor's work gives me peace, and playing rock gives me passion." Ren also plays rock with his band in bars after work.

"Rock is a culture which calls for equality, respect and openness, and it brings energy." Ren experienced a lot from playing rock.
