Hu also stressed that officials pay more attention to optimal land utilization for industrial and urban construction, and create a better living environment for residents.

At Bihai community service center of the provincial capital Guiyang City, Hu asked the community's party chief Cui Xiangqian, who is also a delegate of the CPC's 18th National Congress, to lead other Party members in community management and service.

President Hu also went to Bijie City in the northwest of the province, one of the poorest places in Guizhou that he first visited soon after taking up the post of provincial Party chief in the summer of 1985.
