According to media reports, a 27-year-old female teacher surnamed Li took the Nanchong Teacher Selection Test in Sichuan province this summer, and was allowed to take the subsequent physical examination as a third-place winner. However, she was diagnosed with syphilis at two specified hospitals. Afterward, she went to three first-class hospitals, which all found that she was not infected with syphilis. The local bureau of human resources and social security said that there was nothing fishy, and it only recognized the examination result of specified hospitals. There have been frequent reports of doubtful examination results.
