Libya’s fate in hands of its government, opposition (2)

(People's Daily Online)

The future of Syria is in the hands of Syrian government and oppositions. As the political settlement of Syrian crisis is increasingly becoming an international consensus, the integration of Syrian oppositions certainly can exert positive significance, including changing the awkward situation of no leaders engaging in peace talks with the government, ceasing fire immediately, supporting mediation efforts of Lakhdar Brahimi and opening and push forward the political transition led by Syrian people as soon as possible, which is the common interests of Syrian people and the international community.

China has recently put forward more specific and workable proposals on the basis of approving ceasefire, including “implementing effective ceasefire methods such as gradually stopping fire in different regions and stages” and “determining and dispatching full-fledged representatives as soon as possible to make up transitional management agencies of extensive representativeness.” In a word, it is hoped that the actions taken by the new coalition will help achieve these goals and lift Syria out of the crisis.
