Assignments of the “industrial chain” are clear

The prosperity of the “comment deleting industry” is due to a great number of enterprises which are extremely afraid of the public relation crisis. The fact that many enterprises invest a lot to carry out the public relation publicities and employ public relation companies also gives power for this “industrial chain” to operate.

Web portals such as Sina, Netease, and Ifeng cost the most when it comes to post deletion, and the prices for deleting posts from popular web forums such as Baidu Tieba, Tianya, and Mop as well as major micro-blogging sites such as Sina Weibo and Tencent Weibo are clearly listed, according to a quotation sheet on online crisis public relations the reporter found on the Internet.

The prices for deleting posts from different websites range from 600 yuan to 5,000 yuan, with the highest price nearly 10 times that of the lowest point. The price for deleting posts from a website’s forum is about two-thirds that for deleting news articles from the website.
