"Attention to negative messages is not unique in China, which also occurs in the Internet world of other countries. The development of current Internet context is based on social communication and exchanges so the negative information is inevitable. But we should realize that the Internet has the great positive power and what we should do now is to release information fairly and objectively so that the public can make an objective judgment by themselves," said Zhang Yiwu, a professor of department of Chinese language and literature of Peking University.

Yu Guoming, a professor of School of Journalism and Communication of Renmin University, pointed out that in terms of the key words netizens are concerned about in recent three years, the public opinions have an improvement in an "overall warm color tone," and "micro-charity activities," "micro-power" and "micro-warmth" became a real portrayal of netizens' caring for the society.

Zhang Jianjun, head of the official micro-blog of Nanjing Municipal Government, said, "The criticism and query are inevitable in the Internet. As the administrator of microblogs, we should tolerate different voices. The supervision of netizens will urge us more rigorous to check information and ensure the authenticity of information, leaving no room for rumors. Meanwhile, the negative information implies a good opportunity of social governance and can urge us to improve our work."
