(People's Daily Online)

Copper content in red wine products from new world wine production regions exceeding the standard.

Of the unqualified food and cosmetic products exported to China in May, 14 batches of unqualified red wine products were unqualified.

Main problems of the red wine products imported from old world wine production regions, including France and Italy, were the unqualified label and the sulfur dioxide content exceeding the standard.

The major problem of the red wine products imported from new world wine production regions, including the United States, Argentina and Chile, was that metal elements, such as iron and copper, exceeded standards.

The 306 tons of Garnache rose red wine imported by the Yangpu Apricot Blossom Trade Company from Spain had the problem of the iron content exceeding the standard and had been returned by the quality inspection and quarantine department. It was the largest batch of unqualified red wine.
