On May 7, the experts sent to Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding & Research Base to rescue a dying wild panda were finally relieved. It is really a miracle of life for a wild panda to be out danger and now the rescued panda is under 24 hours of care, said a staff from the base.

This wild panda was first found at the Longxi-Hongkou National Natural Reserves on April 17. When the working staffs found the panda, it was under extremely bad physical conditions and was dying. After this incident was reported, professional medical and rescue teams were sent to the site immediately to give emergency treat to this panda. After six days and nights of hard working, the wild panda was finally brought back to life.

Since the late 70s and early 80s of last century, many pandas have died of illness and starvation due to mass bloom of bamboos on panda’s habitat. Since then, Chengdu has saved 63 wild pandas and cured 58. Some of these pandas were sent back to the wild nature and some were sent to the panda centers around China and the world.
