IMF official hails China's role in Asian economy (2)

Anoop Singh, director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the IMF speaks during an IMF press conference during the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank spring meetings in Washington D.C.,the United States, on April 20, 2012. Singh said leading economic indicators for Asia have strengthened, and growth is gaining momentum, anchored by robust growth in China. Asia is a bright spot of the global recovery, but policymakers in the region need to use policy room to address fresh challenges on the horizon. (Xinhua/Fang Zhe)
