The statement noted that there are increasingly more people in the island who participate in, support and benefit from the development of the cross-Strait relations.
The statement further called for efforts to solidify the framework that the two sides of the Strait belong to one China and to promote the political mutual trust between the two sides.
Moreover, the statement urged to advance the cross-Strait negotiations, deepen the cross-Strait economic cooperations, set conditions for the future resolving of political issues and promote the exchanges and communications between the two sides of the Strait.
