Neutralizers dumped to mitigate cadmium pollution in south China river (6)

More efforts are being made to mitigate cadmium pollution in Longjiang river in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to preserve water safety for downstream cities, local authorities said Monday. Dispatched on the pollutants-neutralizing mission on Jan. 21, armed police had dumped a total of 4,650 tonnes of activated carbon, quick lime and aluminum chloride to the water as of 3 p.m. Monday, according to armed police authorities in Guangxi.
