Getting along well with each other, China and Pakistan have set a model for developing countries with different cultures. “Now with new options, new dimensions and new world situations, Pakistan and China find new confidence. The reason for China and Pakistan to work together has become greater, we need each other. And in fact, I find Pakistan is the first one to applaud for the growth of China,” said Zardari during the interview.

“The cornerstone of our foreign policy is China. The friendship is mutual respect and mutual interest. China is a time-tested and all-weather friend,” Gillani reiterated. With the changing international and regional situation, the two countries will play more important roles. They should further strengthen cooperation to promote regional stability.

President Zardari and Prime Minister Gillani also talked about Pakistan’s role in anti-terrorism, U.S.-Pakistan relations, India-Pakistan relations and other topics during the interview. They also send their regards to the Chinese government and Chinese people.
