China has solved the basic problems of economic and social development that developing countries face. The country has become an emerging economy and is now fiercely chasing after the developed economies.

As an emerging economy, China still faces serious problems in economic and social development, as the average per capita income of China is still low. But we should be cautious about calls for us to bear more responsibility. Of course, China should play more important role in international affairs, such as some vital problems including environmental pollution, global warming, the exploitation of natural resources and overpopulation. Therefore, China should continue to focus on development, intensify reform and promote innovation, in order to become a modern economic power as soon as possible.
