11:03, September 27, 2011

Photo taken on Sept. 26, 2011 shows the Manuscript, a major art installation of 2011 Beijing Design Week, in Beijing, China. Consisted of massive steel sheets, this 20 meters long, 8 meters wide and 6.7 meters tall installation weighs about 50 tons. According to the U.K. designer Paul Cocksedge, the sheets of Manuscript, roled in the shape of flying pages and inscribed with Chinese and English poems, symbolize the exchange of words, poetry and knowledge between the east and west. As a gift from London, it will be displayed during the 2011 Beijing Design Week, which lasts from Sept. 26 to Oct. 3. (Xinhua/Luo Xiaoguang)
