U.S. amphibian dock landing ship Comstock visits Hong Kong (2)

Photo taken on Sept. 2, 2011 shows a view inside the Comstock landing ship in Hong Kong, south China. The Comstock, an amphibian dock landing ship, started its visit to Hong Kong on Aug. 31 and will leave on Sept. 4 for its home port in San Diego, the United States. Enlisted in 1990 with a capacity of around 600 soldiers, Comstock's primary mission is to launch and support assault landing crafts and vehicles during amphibious operations, and to provide landing craft maintenance service.
