Donghai: Prototype of modern agriculture

Donghai Agricultural Science Laboratory launched 17 scientific projects with total investments of 500 million yuan inside the Donghai Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park on July 2.

Zhai Huqu, alternate member of the Central Committee and president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science; Guan Yongjian, secretary of the Donghai County Party Committee, and other officials from related departments attended the opening ceremony.

The park occupies a region of approximately 13.5 square kilometers, with various organic crops planted, such as decorative flowers, grapes and strawberries. Donghai Agricultural Science Laboratory is a localization project launched a year ago by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science. It marks the first time that such institutions have set their laboratory in eastern China.
